Legends...!

The wise develop successors, pave the way for them and make room for them to walk on it. Two Living Legends of India, who have always been the prodigy of this notion, just did the same thing. One in the industry segment and other in country’s favourite sport, regarded as almost a religion with millions of devotees! It was neither sad or bad, nor even good or great... just natural.

Instead of making a big and totally unnecessary and insensible fuss of their retirements, it would be insightful and enriching to learn a few things by studying the glorious journey they had with high commitment and even higher aspirations and that is the reason Ratan Tata was referred to as Sachin Tendulkar of Indian Industry; it is an honour for both...!

Both these ‘Padma Vibhushan’ awardees, the most deserving of the honour, had raised the bar in their respective territories so high that now it’s their successor’s responsibility to either maintain the dignity and glory of it or raise it even higher if possible. What these two jewels in India’s ‘Taj’ have done is they marked the tracks as well as the beginning of the path to follow that will lead India  to the glorious era which was there in the pages of distant history of India.

Although there is no need to list the contributions of these ‘celebrities in its truest sense’, here are one of their quotes that I found most profound, characteristic and a life lesson...

“I don't believe in taking right decisions...

I take decision and then make them right”.

I never played with a runner in my entire life, even in schools, because only I know where the ball is going and how hard, when I hit the ball, something my runner will never know about
